My vacation in Senoia

Day one in Senoia. Hoping to get some news about filming tomorrow... happy to see that the cast is getting back to Georgia now...

Had a really nice dinner at Maguire's tonight... Meatloaf and Irish Chicken... yum!

Strike TWO

Yesterday I was in such a rush to get back to work for inventory that I forgot to take my Camelbak bottle...

Didn't drink enough water during the day I guess because today I woke up with another migraine...

I really don't need any more proof that dehydration is a trigger for me...

I cannot let this happen again!

Orion's birthday

Orion's birthday is August 21, but his birthday present is scheduled for delivery today.

I don't think he will have to wait the whole two weeks for it.

Ugh!!!

So, I didn't drink my water on Tuesday and spent half of Wednesday with a migraine...

I can never do that again!

Orion...

In just a little over 2 weeks Orion will be ONE year old... and that means he will have been with us for 10 months!

Can't believe how much that little guy means to me.

He definitely has my <3 his="" in="" little="" not="" p="" paw.="" so="">

60 days to go...

Then it's walker stalkin' time!

I am SO ready for vacation... and SO SO ready for season 4 of The Walking Dead!

I really wish I could win even a tiny piece of that Powerball jackpot this week... I'd love to pay off my credit card and have a little cash with me on the trip...

1st migraine in 10 days...

Woke up with a migraine this morning, but I still think I am onto something with the dehydration thing...

I believe this was my regular/usual migraine that could not have been prevented by an ocean of water.

So I'm not necessarily going to count this one, unless I get another one before next month.

So ready for vacation...

and it's just over 9 weeks away!

So ready to get back to Georgia and try a little more walker stalkin' ...

BUT FIRST...

I'm still trying to get through the remainder of July without a migraine. This is day 6 since my last...

Hydrate - Hydrate - Hydrate !!!

Today I bought myself a little gift to help with my daily hydration:

If I drink 2 of those a day I should be good to go. 

It's day 5 since I started drinking the extra water... no signs of a migraine yet (fingers crossed) and the kidney pain is barely there.

Now I am just dealing with quite a bit of nausea from the Cipro I'm taking for the UTI. I will be SO happy for Thursday to come and go... that's when my last dose will be taken.

Water - Day 4

It's day 4 of my self diagnosis/treatment plan for the weekly migraines I've had this month.

I'm now up to 64 oz of water per day and I'm finishing earlier each day. Today I finished it all before leaving work. That's pretty good considering the first day it took me 12 hours and it was only 50 oz.

I really hope this works...

Day 1

In addition to my usual cup of coffee in the morning and 2nd after dinner, I managed to drink a 50 oz bottle of water.

Go me !

Got a call from the doctor confirming that my test results showed I do have a UTI. Starting on antibiotics tomorrow... the increased water intake should help with that too.

I really hope this helps with the migraines too...

Headache test...

I wonder if the reason I've had so many migraines this month has something to do with the heat...

I know I don't drink enough water, never have...

Maybe I'm dehydrated.

Starting tomorrow I'm going to increase my water intake and see if it helps.

I was supposed to do that for the kidney thing anyway... might be able to fix both things at once. 

Migraine today...

Woke up to it around 3 am... did not go to work this time. Very tired of them.

Pain in my side for 2 days...

Went to the doctor... she thinks it might be kidney related... we'll see how it goes...

The Walking Dead season 4 trailer is SO good. But it has has put so many questions in my head...

Does Sasha make it out of the prison? She is not with Tyreese in the car.

Does the group split up? Or is there another vehicle following behind the car Daryl is driving? 

Did Carol, Rick, Carl, and Hershel stay at the prison?

Where are Beth and Judith?

Did Maggie and Glenn go off alone?

What about the residents of Woodbury?

Is the Governor attacking the prison or is this a new threat?

Did the new character come from Woodbury?  I don't trust him.

What thing were they looking for at the Big Spot? Is that where they find a new leg for Hershel?

They are teaching the children how to use knives. Will we see a kid murder a sibling this season like in the comics?

Season 4 looks amazing, I can't wait until October.

If the show moves to Macon, does the filming move there too???

I am getting really tired of this.

If I get another one within the week I guess I'll be making an appointment with my doctor so I can at least get a refill on my Relpax.

Strange dream last night...

Last night I had a dream that I went back to the tattoo shop in Hialeah to get Heather to do my 2nd tattoo. Only when I got there it wasn't Heather, it was Ami James from Miami Ink. I never cared for him on the show and always said of all the guys there he would be the last one I'd want a tattoo from... lol

Anyway...

I'll be working on my next tattoo design soon, though I won't be getting the actual tattoo done until around Christmas. I'm going to start a new contest at CreateMyTattoo.com and see if I can finally get the zombee tattoo I've been wanting. 

I want a cute little un-dead bee with a pretty pink brain flower.  :)

Lazy day...

I did not sleep well last night. Woke up a few times and checked on kitty because of rain. Felt like I might be going to have a migraine today.  I was not wrong.

Got up at 7:00 to make sure the cats got their breakfast and then fell asleep on the couch with Orion for THREE hours!

Took the Relpax when I got up and went out to get breakfast at 11:00.  The migraine is gone but the medicine makes me feel gross for most of the day. 

I am doing a backup on The BFC now, so I am going to watch a movie in a few and eat my last package of Candy's Popcorn that I got at Supercon last weekend. Yum!

My little monster...

Orion has started doing something strange. Well I guess "started" is the wrong word. When he was younger, I noticed him grabbing at his tail now and then, but didn't think much about it. He couldn't really reach it, and he was adorable doing it. I knew dogs chased their tails but never thought about cats doing it...

But, lately he hasn't just been grabbing at it. He can actually catch it, and bite it. He does it quite often, and also chews on his back legs too...  today he was more aggressive than usual towards his tail... chewed on the tip for several minutes before wearing himself out and taking a nap.

I really really hope this is just a playful kitten stage he's going through and not something actually wrong with him. I googled it, and it can be a sign of a syndrome that some cats develop.

I love him so much... I'm going to be keeping track of how often I see him doing this from now on.

Vacation in 12 weeks!

Time to start putting a little money aside for my trip to Alabama/Georgia in October.

Ready to do a little walker stalking with my sister in Senoia, GA. But first we're going to do the Atlanta Movie Tours Big Zombie Tour 1 & 2. Tour # 1 is in Atlanta and covers filming locations from season 1 & 2 of The Walking Dead. Tour # 2 is in Senoia and covers filming locations from season 3. We should get some cool photos to add to our collections from last May when we did a little exploring on our own.  We also plan to re-do the Grantville tour so we can see the restored version of Morgan's apartment.

Unfortunately we won't be staying there in the apartment building like we had hoped. The mayor said he was unable to get the permits needed to run the building as a hotel, so we booked a room in nearby Newnan for 2 nights. After that we'll be back at the Veranda Bed & Breakfast in Senoia for 3 nights. Really looking forward to being back there... it's an awesome place to stay.

After Senoia I'll be back in Alabama for 4 nights to visit with the family.

Don't know how much longer I'll be able to afford these twice a year trips home. Might have to start trading off with Vera soon since she wants to start coming to Miami now and then to visit with me and my kitty cats. She can come here in the winter and I can go up there in the fall.

But, that's for discussion another time.

Today we will be trashing our clothes for Supercon.

I am very happy that Vera was able to find us some partially destroyed jeans at the Thrift Store... half the work has been done for us already.

It's going to be a fun day!

And then tonight we're going to Longhorn for steak!

Today I purchased our photo-ops with George Takei, Chandler Riggs and Laurie Holden.

I am very excited and a little nervous.

I hope we have time to do all the things we want to do on Saturday. 2 photo-ops plus a Q&A with George Takei and another one with Laurie Holden. And maybe even another one with Travis Love & Theodus Crane...

Wings Over Homestead (Nov. 2010)

We went to the Wings Over Homestead airshow in 2010 and saw the Blue Angels.

But if you look at my pictures it mostly looks like Lauren went to New Orleans and I tagged along as her personal photographer.

Tired today...

Just got home from work. Orion is asleep and Tom is busy doing his afternoon workout. Trying to decide what I might want for dinner while I wait for him to finish.
